The Auburn Tigers dropped their third straight game last Saturday, falling to Ole Miss, 48-34 at Vaught-Hemmingway Stadium.
The Tigers gained 441 yards of offense in the loss, with Tank Bigsby leading the way by rushing for 179 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Auburn also played a strong 2nd half by scoring 17 points over the final two frames.
Despite a stronger-than-usual performance, Auburn was not able to overcome a 21-0 deficit to beat the Rebels for the seventh-straight time.
The loss had no affect on Auburn in the latest SEC rankings from College Football News heading into week eight, as the Tigers remain No. 12 in the SEC ahead of only Missouri and Vanderbilt.
Auburn did however fall in the overall rankings from No. 47 to No. 52 after their loss to Ole Miss. Their next opponent, the Arkansas Razorbacks, improved to No. 10 in the SEC after beating BYU on the road last Saturday, and jumped up an impressive 14 spots from No. 42 to No. 28 in the overall rankings.
Here is how the rest of the SEC stacks up heading into week eight according to the latest ranking from College Football News.
