Bayelsa Queens players have been rewarded with N28 million by the Bayelsa State Government following their impressive performance at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League.
The Prosperity Girls, who participated in the competition for the first time, finished in the third position.
The players and their officials visited Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri in his office on Thursday.
The 21 first-team players will receive N1m each, while the 14 reserve players will get N500,000 each.
Coach Domo Okara got N1.1 million, his assistants N500,000 each, support staff N300,000 each and all the board members got N1.5 million.
Bayelsa Queens were also rewarded with $200,000 by CAF.
