“Black Starlets Shine Bright: Dominant 5-1 Victory Launches AFCON Qualifying Campaign”

Ghana’s Black Starlets began their West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying journey with a remarkable start, dominating Cote d’Ivoire with a convincing 5-1 victory at the University of Ghana stadium.

Right from the start, the Black Starlets imposed themselves on the game, launching continuous attacks that kept their Ivorian opponents on the back foot.

The goal-scoring spree kicked off in the 27th minute, with Joseph Narbi displaying his clinical finishing skills with two goals in the first half, sparking excitement among the fans.

Narbi’s goals set the tone for Ghana’s relentless pressure, with another goal just before halftime, leaving the Ivorian defense struggling.

With a comfortable lead at halftime, the Black Starlets were eager to maintain their dominance in the second half.

They continued their onslaught, with Godfred Sarpong extending Ghana’s lead early in the second half with a superb volley.

Despite a brief comeback attempt from Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana quickly reasserted their control, scoring another goal through Harve Gbafa off a Benjamin Tsevanyo corner kick.

As the match neared its end, Ghana sealed their victory convincingly, with Mark Kagawa scoring a magnificent curler to cap off an outstanding performance and secure a perfect start to the tournament.

The Black Starlets’ impressive display not only thrilled the fans but also filled the stadium with an electrifying atmosphere, as each goal was met with cheers and admiration for the team’s outstanding performance.
