Emmanuel Tagoe Vows to Defeat Garcia, Says He’ll Quit if He Loses

Emmanuel Tagoe (32-1, 15KOs) has confidently stated that he intends to retire if he loses to Ryan Garcia. In a statement made by the former IBO world champion, he said he will defeat Garcia.

“I must retire if I lose to Garcia on April 9. The only reason to continue boxing is if I am knocked out cold, collapsed and unable to respond when anyone calls”

In a nutshell, Game Boy vows to not succumb to a defeat if he continues to be on his feet after the 12 mandatory rounds.

His opponent on the other hand looks to shake off ring rust after being inactive for over a year having surgery on his hand
“I think that he is the perfect opponent to come back with. I have had over a year off and I have had hand surgery. And also, I am setting up a bigger fight for later on. Some big contenders so this is just fill out fight to see how I feel. But you can never take anybody lightly”.

The stage is set as both lightweight prospects makes no room for a defeat. Emmanuel Tagoe arguably making bigger talk ahead of their bout. He wants to defeat Garcia in the WBO world title eliminator fight from the Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas, USA.
