Only two schools remain from the Volusia-Flagler-St. Johns area as the FHSAA playoffs reach regional final week.
Mainland is in the midst of their deepest playoff run in six years thanks to a defense that’s allowed just 14 points in each of their two postseason wins thus far and an offense that’s clicking behind a stout run game and a healthy offensive line. Mainland will hit the road for a matchup with Jensen Beach in a Region 3-3S showdown on Friday night. The Falcons have already gone further in the playoffs than it has been at any point in program history.
In the Region 1-4S final, Bartram Trail hosts Bucholz in a rematch of a regular season game won by the Bears 21-6. That win gave Bartram (12-0) homefield advantage throughout regional play. Bucholz will make its third-straight appearance in a regional final.
