A forty (40) year old man by the name of Richard Oppong has been spotted dead in a pool of blood in his own vicinity at GomoaFeteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region.
According to residents nearby, in the lifeless body of the deceased was found in the early hours of 26th August 2021.
Richard Oppong as known by the people is a mason by profession, married with two children and very hard-working. He sometimes works outside the area because of the nature of the construction business.
Police checks and residents’ speculations suggest that Richard may have been killed by some unknown assailant who perhaps may be from the area.
A resident by the name of Mohammed Iddrisu bemoaned that He heard some noise of people screaming and shouting at dawn but was afraid to turn up because it was dangerous at that hour of the day, only to wake up the next day to see his close neighbour murdered in a pool of blood.
Other residents in the Gomoa Feteh Kakraba area also lamented the sad incident that had happened to their compatriot and called for intensive Police and Military patrol in the area.
The Awutu Breku Police Commander Joshua Semanyo told the media present and the people of Feteh Kakraba that the body has been conveyed and deposited at the Morgue and the investigation had begun.
He appealed to the people near and far to voluntarily assist the Police in providing any useful information available to the Police in order to accelerate the investigation process.
He assured the family and residents that the person who is solidly behind this gruesome murder will be fished out and made to face the full vigorous of the law.
