Four Irish boxers are in European Championship action in Montenegro today.
World Champion, Amy Broadhurst, takes on Turkey in Bout 2 of the evening session. Tina Desmond meets Ukraine in the evening session’s bout 9, while Olympian Aoife O’Rourke is in action in bout 9 of the afternoon session, against Greece. That’s preceded by the meeting of European U22 champion, 54kg Niamh Fay and Ukraine in bout 8.
Ireland are 100 percent in the tournament so far after Fay, Kellie Harrington,twice, Michaela Walsh and Carly McNaul all registered wins.
Indeed, Harrington, McNaul, and Walsh have all joined Kacci Rock in the quarterfinals and are just one win away from a medal.
