In an adventurous feat that has garnered widespread attention, Wanderlust Ghana, a group of Ghanaian philanthropists and tourists, are set to embark on another remarkable road trip. Following their successful expedition from Accra to London last August, the core team of five members is preparing to journey to Paris, Dubai, and Cape Town, starting in the third week of September 2024.
Backed by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), this expedition is not just for personal fulfillment, but also an effort to market Ghana internationally. This upcoming adventure spans over 30,000 kilometers, crossing 30 countries in over 30 days.
One of the group’s key members, Kwame Peprah, explained that while the team initially began these road trips for personal enjoyment, the increasing public interest provides an excellent opportunity to showcase Ghana’s culture and tourism potential to the world. He encouraged local Ghanaian businesses to partner with them, as they drive through numerous countries, further boosting Ghana’s international presence.
The journey will also allow Ghanaians and fans abroad to meet with the Wanderlust Ghana team at various points during their expedition. Prior to their departure, a take-off celebration will be held at the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park on Sunday, 8 September 2024.
