The Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA) has expressed gratitude to the government and
the Bank of Ghana for their efforts to stabilize the cedi and has asked the community to adjust
the prices of goods and services to reflect the gains made by the national currency. The cedi to
dollar exchange rate reached $1 to GH15 earlier this year, but it now trades at GH12.50 to the
dollar.
The GUTA urged the government to make additional efforts to sustain the program and provide
relief to the business community, and as the value of the cedi rises, the GUTA urged members of
the business community to adjust the prices of goods and services accordingly.
