Joe Joyce and Joseph Parker are finally set to face off in their much-anticipated heavyweight clash in Manchester tomorrow night.
The Brit goes into the fight as favourite, according to Betfair, with Joyce priced at 1/2 to secure the vacant WBO interim heavyweight title, compared to Parker who’s priced at 6/4.
Joyce and Parker are the WBO number one and two, and after a long round of negotiations, the pair have set up a fight in Manchester, which will take place tomorrow night.
The Brit goes into the bout boasting a 14-0 professional record, 13 of which have been won via knockout.
The 37-year-old’s last fight came back in July when he beat the Romanian Christian Hammer in four rounds at Wembley Arena in July.
Joyce’s opponent tomorrow night, Joseph Parker holds a professional record of 30-2 and is a former WBO heavyweight world champion.
The fighter from New Zealand took the belt after beating Andy Ruiz in Auckland back in 2016, and defended the title successfully on two occasions.
Parker lost the belt two years later after being defeated by Anthony Joshua in Cardiff, when three other heavyweight belts were on the line, in what was the first loss of the Kiwi’s career.
He then lost his next fight to Dillian Whyte but goes into Saturday’s bout on a six-fight winning streak, defeating Dereck Chisora in both of his last two fights, most recently in December last year.
The winner of Joyce v Parker will be in line for a world title shot next and will most likely meet Oleksandr Usyk.
