The Jospong Group of Companies has generously donated GH¢500,000 to support renal treatment at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), The Bank Hospital, and the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC). KBTH’s Renal Dialysis Unit received GH¢181,400, while the other facilities received GH¢120,000 each, with an additional GH¢78,600 allocated for the procurement of consumables. This donation aims to cover medical expenses for patients undergoing renal treatment at these institutions. The gesture reflects the Jospong Group’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and improving public health. Presented by the Chief Corporate Communication Officer, Sophia Kudjordji, on behalf of CEO Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong, the donation underscores the company’s mission to enhance people’s lives. The funds also serve as a response to the challenges faced by renal patients and the media’s coverage of the issue. KBTH’s CEO, Dr Opoku Ware Ampomah, expressed gratitude for the donation, emphasizing its impact on patient care and urging continued support for sustainable healthcare financing. Additionally, UGMC’s Director of Operations, Lucy Ofori-Ayeh, appreciated the contribution, recognizing its significant assistance to patients in need.
