Talented Ghanaian rapper Black Sherif together with other famous celebrities met United State Vice President Kamala Harris who is in Ghana for a three-day state visit.
The US Vice President arrived in Ghana on Sunday, March 26, 2023, for a her much awaited state visit. She was welcomed by Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia in a brief ceremony at the Kotoka International Airport.
As part of her engagements on Monday, March 27, Kamala Harris visited Vibrate Studios, a recording studio in Accra, where she interacted with musicians and other creatives. Black Sherif was among those the US Vice President met and interacted with upon her arrival at the studio. In a photo which has surfaced online, Harris was seen sandwiched between two ladies with Black Sherif and Idris Elba standing behind them.
Relatedly, the visit comes at a time where major world powers are seeking support against Russia for its aggresion on Ukraine by strengthening ties with Africa. Therefore, US Vice-President Kamala Harris and her husband, Douglas Emhoff, announced on Twitter that she would visit Ghana in March and other African countries namely ;Lusaka, Zambia, and Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. A statement issued by the White House said the vice-president’s visit would “build on the recent US-Africa Leaders Summit that President Biden hosted in Washington in December 2022.
Ghanaians are excited and are hoping this visit brings enormous benefits to Ghana.
