The suspect, identified as Benlord Ababio, allegedly discharged the fatal shot at the soldier on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at approximately 4:20 pm. Following the shooting, the injured soldier was promptly transported to the Mother and Child Hospital in Kasoa for urgent medical attention. Despite the diligent efforts of medical personnel, the soldier ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Currently, Benlord Ababio is in police custody, where he is actively cooperating with authorities as the investigation unfolds.
