NATIONAL CHIEF IMAM DONATES TO THE NATIONAL CATHEDRAL PROJECT

The National Chief Imam , Dr. Sheik Osman Nuhu Shaributuhas donated an amount of GH50,000 to the National Cathedral Trust fund. 

His donation comes after the Vice President Dr. AlhajiMahmmud Bawumia’s call on all well meaning Ghanaians to support and help build the Cathedral which forms part of the NPP agenda in securing a monumental place of worship for the Christians.

The facility when completed will also serve as a venue where any National activities could be held .

He made the donation when the Board of Trustees of the National Cathedral paid a courtesy call on him to find out his health and wished him long life . 

Sheik Aremeyaw Shaibu ,

the spokesperson of the National Chief Imam ,  made it known that the Chief Imam is very happy about the commencement of this Project and what he can do is to pay his quota to help make such a project come to reality .

He said the Chief Imam  is optimistic that when such a project is completed it will go a long way to solve the problem of getting a suitable venue to host National programmes which most times is costly to host elsewhere. 

He emphasized that Ghana is a country in which both Islam and Christian worshippers are friends and each others keeper despite difference in beliefs and ideology. 

For the past decades we have lived together as brothers and Sisters , and we will continue to live in peace and harmony for the benefit of mankind.

Board Chairman of the National Cathedral Trust fund Apostle Dr. OPoku Onyina thanked the Chief Imam and his noble Office for the benevolent gesture to  Christendom as he officiallyaccepted his contribution towards the project.

To him , the venue can serve as a tourist site  where the country can earn income from.

According to the Contractor it is one of the largest and the biggest Cathedrals anywhere in the World.

He made it known that if we get one million ( 1,000,000) Ghanaians who will be willing to provide GH100.00 each the National Cathedral could be built in no time.

He entreated all well meaning Ghanaians , philanthropists , Corporate Organizations , CSOs to come on board to make theNational Cathedral a reality.
