After months of speculations, calculations, assessments and back-to-back diplomatic talks, Ukraine is under attack from land and sea, this is the biggest attack in Europe since the cold war. NATO to hold an emergency meeting on the Russian invasion.

The abbreviation means North Atlantic Treaty Organisation. It was formed as a security alliance between North America and Europe. The alliance agreed to protect its members when attacked by another state. An attack on one member’s state means an attack on all her members.
The question is that what has happened to the alliance? Would Nato watch Ukraine suffer attacks without reinforcing her? Is the alliance failing? The League of Nations Failed is the alliance failing. Is the United Nations also going to fail?
