Fresh off another win over Anthony Joshua, Oleksandr Usyk already has his next potential opponent in mind: Tyson Fury. We'll find out soon whether these heavyweights will square off but in the meantime, check out early odds for Usyk vs. Fury.
Oleksandr Usyk won his long-awaited rematch with Anthony Joshua to retain his WBA, WBO, IBF, and IBO belts, and now he has the most well-known heavyweight in his sights.
The Ukrainian wants a fight with the recently retired Tyson Fury, which would put four belts on the line, with a deadline of September 1 set by Fury to have it arranged.
While we’ll get an answer soon, one way or another, as to whether this incredible heavyweight bout will happen, early odds for Oleksandr Usyk vs. Tyson Fury are on the board now.
Two-time heavyweight champion Tyson Fury is coming off a dominant sixth-round knockout win over Dillian White in April, where he defended his WBC title. Although he soon announced his retirement from the sport, Fury seems to be waffling about that decision, although he did officially relinquish his Ring Magazine title on August 13.
Fury is regarded as one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time and has notable victories against Derek Chisora (twice), Wladimir Klitschko, and Deontay Wilder (two wins by knockout and draw).
The “Gypsy” King was an overwhelming -550 favorite against White and opened at -350 for the trilogy fight with Wilder. Fury is a massive heavyweight who weighed in at 265 pounds against White and combines strong fundamentals, good movement, laser-like accuracy, and a granite chin.
Usyk upset Joshua as a +225 underdog last September to claim the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight titles. He proved it was no fluke by outpointing Joshua again in the rematch on August 20, where he also earned The Ring title vacated by Fury.
The unbeaten Usyk was the most decorated cruiserweight champion in history before making the jump to heavyweight in October 2019.
At 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 221 pounds, Usyk will be dwarfed by Fury in a potential showdown. However, the southpaw was able to use his pace, technique, elusiveness, and phenomenal footwork to give the much bigger Joshua fits.

The most common way of betting on a boxing match is by picking the overall winner of the bout. With Fury being the favorite for this fight, his odds have the minus sign (-) in front of them at -900. This means that bettors would need to wager $900 in order to win $100. A Ngannou win would pay out more as he’s the underdog at +500. This means that a $100 wager would profit $500.
As we get closer to the fight date, other prop bets will become available, such as method of victory and round betting.
