Shatta Wale to Surprise Fans with December Show Despite Freedom Wave Concert Cancellation

Event organizer and entertainment pundit, Ambassador Romeo, has made a prediction regarding Dancehall sensation Shatta Wale’s upcoming events. Despite the cancellation of his much-anticipated Freedom Wave concert, Ambassador Romeo believes that Shatta Wale will host a show in December 2023.

Initially, Shatta Wale had announced his annual Freedom Wave concert, scheduled for December 25th at the Accra Sports Stadium. However, things took an unexpected turn when his dancehall rival, Stonebwoy, also announced his Bhim concert + Ashiaman to the world + 5th Dimension Homecoming, set for December 23rd at the same venue.

This clash of events led to Shatta Wale expressing his frustration, claiming that there wouldn’t be enough time to set up for his show and accusing Stonebwoy and others of sabotage. Subsequently, Shatta Wale’s PR manager, Sammy Flex, announced the cancellation of the Freedom Wave concert.

Ambassador Romeo, while participating in a discussion on E-Forum on Ghanaweb TV, speculated that Shatta Wale and his team might be planning another show around the same time but are keeping it under wraps.

“What I am anticipating is that although the Freedom Wave show has been canceled, I am looking forward to a surprise. That a different show would be announced within that period. It could be an open show, a show held at the Independence Square, or something. They are probably being low-key about it because they do not want the information to leak and risk potential sabotage from rivals. So, I feel Shatta will host a show soon, but it will be a surprise,” he stated.

Ambassador Romeo also expressed confidence in Sammy Flex, who has recently been appointed as Shatta Wale’s manager. He praised Sammy Flex’s dedication to Shatta Wale’s brand and his passion for the artist’s growth, seeing it as a positive sign for his role as manager.

“Sammy looks like he loves the brand Shatta, right from the onset, he has been passionate about the issues concerning Shatta Wale. Even with the whole stadium issue, you could see how involved he was in the matter from the start…I feel it’s a good deal for Sammy,” he commented.
