The Eagles intercepted Cooper Rush three times, ending the Cowboys’ Cinderella story as the clock struck midnight. C.J. Gardner-Johnson had two interceptions — one after returning from a hand injury — and Darius Slay one as Philadelphia remained undefeated.
The Eagles led 20-0, gave up 17 unanswered points and won 26-17 to move to 6-0. The Cowboys fell to 4-2 and into third place in the NFC East behind the Eagles and the surprising 5-1 Giants.
The Eagles showed the Cowboys how much they miss Dak Prescott, who has not played since fracturing his right thumb in the season opener. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed optimism last week about the starting quarterback’s return for Week 7.
Rush had not thrown an interception this season before an ugly performance Sunday. He had a passer rating of 1.0 in the first half and finished with a 37.3 rating after going 18-of-38 for 181 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.
The Cowboys outgained the Eagles 315 to 270, doing most of the damage in the third quarter when Dallas outgained Philadelphia 165 to 6.
Jalen Hurts completed 15 of 25 passes for 155 yards and two touchdowns; A.J. Brown caught five passes for 67 yards and a touchdown; DeVonta Smith had five receptions for 44 yards and a touchdown; and Miles Sanders rushed for 71 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.
T.J. Edwards led the Eagles with 14 tackles, and James Bradberry had four pass breakups.
Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons had seven tackles and two pass breakups but no sacks as the Eagles did a good job against him.
A fight broke out with 54 seconds remaining as Cowboys defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa and Eagles center Jason Kelce got into it. Officials penalized Odighizuwa 15 yards.
Cali? Where are you Cali?
Hey Jerrah! How bout them Cowboys? Only going down hill once Dak is back.
It would be nice if Philly decided to play Jordan Davis more than 30% of snaps. Amazing how Dallas was able to run the ball with him out of the games. Jonny Gannon is so overrated as a DC.
Dallas made it closer in the 2nd half than it had any right to be. The cowboys found one play that worked (the Bootleg pass to the TE) and used it over an over. I don’t think the Eagles adjusted to it until mid 4th qtr.
Glad the Eagles got out of the game with the win. Eagles still need to figure out how to come out of half time and score points. 6 games in and they still come out of the locker room flat. Thankfully the Eagles have been king of the 2nd qtr point scoring but you can’t count on that forever.
Cooper Rush exposed …. love the look on Jerrys face.
Demarcus Lawrence – they aint played the Cowboys D yet …
Uhhhh, yeah….. no problem Demarcus….lol
I guess we can call time on that QB controversy now.
Doomsday D Lol!!!
That’s all we heard from cowboys beat writers and fans.
Back to earth? Whenever they play a quality team they fold. Good news for you guys is that you have a cupcake schedule so you should be ok till you reach playoffs
Guess y’all don’t look so good when your not playing against a third string center.
Cooper turned into a pumpkin. I credit Cooper for playing well in Dak’s absence though.
I am not buying into the Eagles as SB contenders. The Eagles offense is a copy of the Ravens. But Lamar is better and the league is figuring out how to stop it. Sure, they’ll be in the playoffs. The NFC is not good… but I don’t expect them to be playing on the final Sunday either way.
Dak is gonna come back and lose like 4 straight
So funny how fans claim they’ve won the whole thing after 6 games. How funny how many of those fans at the end of the year flail with disappointment when they don’t. Overreaction from all fans this early is hilarious
I thought the Eagles were better! Buffalo or KC would smoke them.
Dallas should trade Dak to Carolina for some first round picks and use a game manager as a complement to that all-time defense because they aren’t going anywhere when they will need to fulfill Dak’s need for big stats. Rush is a winning QB and those first rounders could be used to build around him and that incredible defense.
Hummm… clock clearly hit zero, multiple eagles moving, no penalty. Snap, first down. TD just a few plays later. Easy to win when the refs do not call penalties. All good. Eagles at home vs. a backup QB.
Dak will probably make the Cowboys offense more dynamic. Cooper Rush is not what I would call a good qb. He doesn’t have a strong arm therefore is limited in the types of throws he can make. I don’t think this game exposed the Cowboys defense. They got zero support from the offense in the first half. Had the offense been at least competent and scored 6 or 7 points the Eagles wouldn’t have had the time to score 20. Not that it matters much. The Cowboys will choke in the playoffs.

They are by far the best team in the NFC. There’s no guarantee of making a Super Bowl winning one, of course. But they are clearly the most complete team in the league. As a fan, I was skeptical, too. They have a few things to fix, but if they can start coming out in the second half stronger and improve the run, defense and critical situations, they will be extremely hard to bat. They just have so many weapons on offense. The defense is no joke. They have great special teams. Time will tell.
Eagles should’ve demolished the Cowboys given the circumstances. Philadelphia’s last two wins vs Dallas were with Cooper Rush and Ben Dinucci at QB. Looks like we’re overrating Philly here. Jalen Hurts is still the QB

Did you not watch the game with the rest of the country? If their RT doesn’t go out Parsons looks like a high school kid. He was awful. Also the eagles would’ve scored at least 10-14 more than they did.
I don’t think too many teams are saying they can’t wait to play Philly.
Cowboys fans were noisy all week…. they be real silent right now.
Well Dr Jerry now has written a note saying that Dak is ready to play!! He has gotten tired of writing Daks check and not getting anything for it. But if Dak stinks up the place, he can say that he should have gotten a Second Opinion!

At 6-0, in the NFC, how can the Eagles be nothing but SB contenders? Copy of the Ravens? Don’t put Philly down like that. They have a better running game, play better situational football and Hurts makes better decisions than Lamar.
As I said last week when everyone here was saying to keep Dak benched, for 4 games Cooper Rush was about as good as Dak was over 84 games. If that’s a best case in a small sample size, you aren’t benching your starting QB.
The Eagles need to get AJ the ball more. He’s a beast
I wasn’t impressed with the Eagles defense and Hurts is overrated. Go play running back already.
This game is completely different with Dak in there
“You are what your record says you are” (6-0) On to Pittsburg

“And the league is figuring out how to stop it.” 6-0. Top 5 in total offensive yards per game. I guess 6 teams haven’t figured out how to stop it. BRW, Lamar has over 70 rushing yards in 4 out of 6 games this season. Teams have figured him out too. Right?

——————-
Hurts:
6-0
7th in passing yards
27th in rushing yards (including all rushers)
2nd in QB rushing yards
Tied for 2nd most pass plays over 40 yards
I’m not a Philly fan, but to call Hurts a running back is an embarrassingly bad take.
Gannon needs to stop taking his foot off the gas the moment the Eagles get a double digit lead. It seems to happen over and over again. The Eagles go up big, and start the game lights out defensively and then by the middle of the 2nd qtr, or at best, the start of the 3rd, the defense trails off and I don’t think it’s because they’re tired. I think they’re trying to let people run the clock down for them and shorten the game, but you can’t let the other team chew up the clock with 6 and 7 minute drives for TDs two or three drives in a row before you start dialing up the pressure again. They seem to always come through in the end, but stay aggressive. If you’re kicking their ass, continue doing it. Hell, if I was Sirianni last night, I would have kicked the FG at the end just to be an a-hole after all of that.
Expect Dak to finally get Dr. Jerruh’s clearance to return to the field today.
“This game is completely different with Dak in there”
Yeah, we would’ve scored more and still beat them.
And this officially ends the Copper Rush story for good. Good luck in the future kid it was nice knowing you.
Not a fan of either team, but Dallas has nothing to be ashamed or worried about. Philly has an equally hard fan base to play against. They went into enemy territory and held their own to a team with a rising superstar QB with their back up QB. I thought Dallas was going to be crushed. Solid game for both teams (except Cooper Rush).
Nobody expected Cooper Rush to go 4-1, NOBODY.
Every Cowboys fan out there after losing to Tampa, & learning Rush would be the starter the next few weeks, thought we’d be lucky to win a game with Rush, at best a couple.
Dak was hot garbage against Tampa Bay. Let’s not forget that…
Ummmmmm all you hating cowboys, giants fans better get a grip. Philly is clearly the real deal. Above somebody out they aren’t buying Philly defense. You mean the one that just had 3 picks against your team? Then their offense stinks. They destroyed you in the first half, and if Lane Johnson was in the second half they would’ve scored 20 more. Parsons was just schooled on how teams will defend him. And by defend I mean not account for him at all! That was brilliant. They literally left him unblocked and on an island 3/4 of the game. He had no clue what to do. None. I believe his career may become just good instead of great if he doesn’t figure that out. The eagles RB’s pantsed him and Diggs a total of 5 times that I saw, and he couldn’t cover any of the tight ends. I know the NFC East is always playing tough, but the Eagles are head of the class. Also cowboys clearly sore losers the entire game. Poor catching coupled with poor character equals implosion.
Dallas has a bad habit of laying down against any of the good teams on their schedule. They did this last year too.

I am an Eagles fan, but that sounds like a pretty optimistic assessment of Dallas. They really don’t have any weapons other than the running backs. They had a stretch there where they were able to run the ball, but Cooper was terrible. As soon as the Eagles adjusted to what they were doing, it was over. The game was nowhere near as close as the final score indicates.
I think that the Eagles with Jalen Hurts are a really good team. They just need to keep the momentum going for the whole 60 minutes. They seem to let up on the gas in the 2nd half of games. They did it last week against the Cards and luckily won by a field goal. I also can’t wait to see how Dallas does when they put Dak back in there.
I learned blocking in the back in a Dallas pass play is no longer a penalty…I’ll note that.
Have to stop letting teams back into games, need the foot on the throat mentality. Other than that all good.
