Okyenhene Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II, the paramount chief of the Akyem Abuakwa
traditional area, emphasized the National Cathedral project’s potential tourist and religious
impact.
Okyenhene stated that, aside from being an edifice that will glorify and honor the Lord, the
project will be a disgrace to the President if it fails.
He stated that with the Cathedral, there will be no need to travel to Israel because the Cathedral
will answer all of your questions about Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and everything else in
Accra.
For the first time, the government has included a project-related expenditure item in the 2023
budget, with an amount of 80 million cedis set aside for disbursement.
