Tottenham target Anthony Gordon would be a “really exciting” signing for the north London club, says journalist Pete O’Rourke.
The Everton winger was thought to be on their radar during the summer and is once again being linked with a move to Antonio Conte’s side.
According to The Sun, Tottenham are considering making an offer for Gordon in January.
A deal for the 21-year-old will not be cheap, though, with the same outlet claiming that Everton value him at £60m, which is the same amount of money Spurs paid the Toffees for Richarlison.
Back in June, Sky Sports actually reported that they tried to sign both the Brazilian and Gordon in a double deal.
In the end, though, Tottenham were only able to land the former, with Gordon remaining at Goodison Park.
If Tottenham do eventually manage to sign Gordon, O’Rourke thinks he would be an exciting addition to Conte’s side.
Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the journalist said: “It’d be a really exciting signing and obviously he’s been a long-term target for Tottenham. They were very interested in signing Gordon in the summer but were unable to agree a deal with Everton for the England under-21 International.”

Gordon has quickly become such an important player for Everton, so it is hard to imagine that £60m valuation coming down.
Discussing the English youngster during the summer when he was being linked with a move to Chelsea, team-mate Conor Coady told Sky Sports (via The Independent): “He has been different class. All the paper talk and all the speculation, to be fair he just cracks on.
“Whatever comes will happen, but I love having him on my team. There is a reason why teams are after him.”
Are Tottenham prepared to pay £60m for the Everton star, though? Given that they have the likes of Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski, which means Gordon is unlikely to be a regular starter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, it would be a bit of a surprise.
All in all, then, you would have to say that Spurs signing Gordon in January is possible, as it does look like the Toffees have put a price on the player. But whether they would actually be willing to meet that price is another matter.
