Twitter Spat: Burna Boy and Davido’s Exchange After AFCON Loss

Twitter was buzzing on Sunday night as Burna Boy, known as the African Giant, stirred controversy by throwing shade at fellow Nigerian artiste, Davido. The exchange ignited following Nigeria’s defeat to Ivory Coast in the AFCON finals.

In response to Nigeria’s loss, some fans of Davido drew parallels, likening it to Burna Boy’s Grammy Award loss. This sparked Burna Boy to unleash a series of shady tweets, which he later removed after facing criticism from netizens.

Burna Boy defended his actions by claiming that he wasn’t the author of the tweets. However, Davido hit back by dropping a snippet of his hit song ‘Over Dem’. In the lyrics, he asserted his resilience, comparing himself to David facing Goliath, implying that he remains strong despite challenges.
