Dutch pay-TV network Ziggo Sport has acquired exclusive broadcast rights to Uefa club competitions in the Netherlands from 2024 until 2027.
The three-year deal, kicking off from 2024/25, includes the Uefa Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League, and marks the first time a Dutch broadcaster has held the rights to all three competitions.
Matches played by participating Dutch clubs will be available to watch for free via the Ziggo Go app. Ziggo customers will also be able to watch the most important games on the Ziggo Sport 14 channel.
âWe believe the best sports content belongs on the biggest Dutch sports channel,â said Marcel Beerthuizen, director of Ziggo Sport.
âOur track record, long-standing partnership with Uefa and love of football means that from now on, you can tune in to Ziggo Sport for Uefa club football.â
Jeroen Hoencamp, chief executive of VodafoneZiggo, added: âZiggo Sport has been distinguishing itself from competitors for years in the way we bring sports to every living room.
âItâs only natural that international football is part of that, including Uefa club football. The sports channel is thus a vital part of our content strategy.â
