Walt Disney World has quietly ended their COVID pay policy for Cast Members.
The policy allotted up to 80 hours of sick pay for two consecutive weeks due to a COVID-19 diagnosis. It also allowed for up to two weeks of pay for missed scheduled shifts if the company required an isolation due to exposure at work. As of October 1, COVID-related absences are treated as any other absence, and points are given for calling out.
This policy applied only to union Cast Members and did not include College Program participants. Cast Members are able to use sick pay to cover their absences. Those without sick pay will receive attendance points if they do not report to work.
