Returning to RIZIN for another exhibition fight, Floyd Mayweather is looking to entertain fans while also showcasing the reason why he is in the Boxing Hall of Fame. On September 24, Mayweather faces Mikuru Asakura in an exhibition bout inside Saitama Super Arena.
Mayweather has won titles in the super-featherweight, lightweight, super-lightweight, welterweight, and light-middleweight divisions. After retiring 50-0, Mayweather has competed in numerous exhibition bouts. In 2018, he teamed with RIZIN for the first time and beat young kickboxing star Tenshin Nasukawa via TKO. Mayweather has also fought Logan Paul and former training partner Don Moore in non-scored bouts.
Asakura, 29, made his pro-MMA debut in 2012. A RINGS featherweight and lightweight champion, Asakura has primarily fought for RIZIN. He is on a two-fight win streak with the promotion and has amassed a 16-3 record with one no-contest.
