Following a brief hiatus, Jake Paul is heading back into a boxing ring.
Paul, the controversial YouTube star and promoter, is ready to return to fighting. He recently posted on Twitter that he will be boxing on August 13. An opponent for Paul has not been determined yet.

Paul, 25, made his pro boxing debut in 2020, beating YouTuber AnEsonGib via TKO. He then fought Nate Robinson on the undercard of the Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr. event. Paul knocked out the former NBA star in the second round. Becoming a leading man, Paul main evented Triller and Showtime cards. In April 2021 Paul knocked out former MMA star Ben Askren. That August, Paul beat former UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, via split decision.
In December, Paul was supposed to fight Tommy Fury. Fury had to back out of the bout due to a broken rib. Woodley stepped up and fought Paul in a rematch. In Tampa, Paul knocked out Woodley in the sixth round, to the shock of everyone.

Since then, Paul has taken a break from fighting and has worked on the promoting end of boxing. The leader of Most Valuable Promotions was one of the main figures in putting together a Fight of the Year candidate in Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano. The fight took place inside Madison Square Garden, and both women earned seven figures for the bout.
Back in March, Paul told ESPN that he had an itch to return to boxing. Now, he appears more than ready.
“Back in the gym, back to training and excited, more excited and motivated than ever,” Paul stated. “You know, that was Chapter 1 of my boxing career, that was my rookie season and now I get to go on another chapter here.”
Paul has called out a lot of fighters on social media recently.
He has involved himself in a social media war with former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping. “The Count” last fought in 2017, losing to Kelvin Gastelum. Verbally, the two agreed to fight. An issue with Bisping, 43, is the injuries he suffered while fighting. He also has one good eye.
Paul stated that the fight would be easy, and Bisping has since called Paul out.
@jakepaul do you not realize how pathetic you sound? I have nothing at all to prove. You on the other hand refuse to fight anyone in their prime. Good for you man, make your money, but please stop acting like a real fighter. Your a successful side show. And that’s ok.👍🏻 pic.twitter.com/sDv1yCAGAF

Paul could go back to fighting Tommy Fury. Fury who beat Daniel Bocianski in his return fight this past April called him out.
“Get the contract signed you bum! Let’s get it done once and for all!”

One of the most-requested fights for Paul has been against Anderson Silva. The former UFC middleweight champion returned to boxing in 2021 for the first time since 2005. Silva beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. via split decision and knocked out Tito Ortiz in September. He recently faced Bruno Machado in an exhibition bout in Abu Dhabi, looking sharp in the fight.
Silva said a fight with Paul is possible. Paul would respond to Silva’s performance on social media.
While no other information has been revealed for Jake Paul’s next fight outside a date, we do know who will be joining Paul.
Former NBA star Glen “Big Baby” Davis will compete on the undercard. It is unknown who his opponent will be at this time.

“You know I f— with your bro, man,” said Snoop, via Dexerto. “I been bettin’ on him, I been rocking with him, you understand me? I been going against the grain, f—— with Jake, you hear me? F— y’all! I’m with my nephew!”
